Hang out with a talking dog

Talking Ben is a free kids' game by Outfit7 Limited, the same publisher who created the popular games My Talking Tom and My Talking Angela. This simulator game lets players interact with Ben, a talking dog. Players can press different buttons to get various hilarious reactions from Ben. You can even talk to him and record your funny conversation

Ben is a retired chemistry professor enjoying a peaceful life. He may seem a bit grumpy, but he hides a cheerful personality that you have to discover in the game. Players have to interact with Ben and his surroundings.

Catch Ben’s attention to speak to him

In Talking Ben, Ben is focused on reading his newspaper, so you need to get his attention and have him put it aside. To do that, you have to employ all sorts of tricks. Poke his newspaper and he will put it away and be available for a conversation. Ben can hear you through the microphone and will repeat everything you say in a funny voice. You can record your interactions with Ben and share them with your friends.

There are plenty of ways you can interact with Ben aside from talking. You can poke various parts of his body such as his face, belly, feet, and hands. Each poke will elicit a different reaction. The game also has buttons to make Ben eat, drink, or belch. Try swiping Ben’s graduation picture to see how he reacts. Ben is a bit rude or grumpy, but there is a place where he’s always in a good mood.

Make experiments in the chem lab

Tapping on the game’s chemistry button brings you and Ben to a chemistry lab. Being a chemistry professor, this is one of Ben’s favorite places. The chem lab has test tubes filled with chemicals of different colors. You can have Ben mix two of them at a time in his flask and create an interesting reaction. The chemical reaction can be an explosion, a tornado, or even a carnivorous plant.

Talking Ben is an old game, yet it continues to receive updates. Unlike other virtual pet games, the game’s focus is on players’ interactions with Ben instead of taking care of him. Ben’s design is adorable and holds up well graphically despite the application’s age, but his personality and reactions can feel eerie sometimes. Most interactions with the game are available for free, but those who want more can purchase them in the application’s store.

Somewhat eerie but still enjoyable

For newcomers to Outfit7’s series of “Talking” games, Ben’s look and personality can feel somewhat eerie. However, those who try the application will most likely find a lot of fun interacting with the talking dog. Ben’s reactions range from adorable to hilarious and the game is pretty creative in how players can interact with him. Ultimately, Talking Ben is a game for kids, but adults can enjoy it too.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
